Welcome
to SalonStr8Hair!
This
site will serve to inform you of the new types of straightening hair, mainly Japanese Hair Straightening, also known as Thermal
Reconditioning, and the new Brazilian Keratin Treatments.
About 10 years ago, curly headed clients were treated to a fabulous new treatment that straightened their frizzy
tresses! No longer do you have to stand in a hot bathroom blowdrying and flat ironing your frizzy hair, only to go outside
in Texas and have your efforts be for nothing. Japanese Hair Straightening is the BEST treatment for your curly hair, it lasts
almost 12months and allows you to significantly cut down on your getting ready time. It also promises that whatever styling
you do to your hair hair will last, even in the heat and humidity of Texas. The results you can count on was straightened
hair that did not revert back to curly! However, everyone is not a candidate for this service because they either
have bleach highlights in their hair or they have a traditional sodium hydroxide relaxer on their hair. These clients will
have to be turned away if they have either of these past treatments.
2010 introduces another breakthrough in straightening hair for us noodleheads!
Brazilian Keratin Treatments or Brazilian Blowouts burst on the scene this year. This procedure can handle clients with bleach
or relaxer on their heads. It doesn't completely straighten the hair, which sometimes clients like because they still
have their fullness. In a nutshell you can think of the Brazilian Keratin Treatments as a deep conditioner, lasting 12 weeks
that happens to straighten the hair.
I invite you to come in for a free in salon consultation to determine which process would be better suited for your
hair.
